April 8, 2000 Dome, Whitley Bay - Morning Dew/A House is Not A Hotel/?/If I Were A Carpenter/Darkness, Darkness/Bluebird/?/Early In The Morning/Think/We're Gonna Groove/Baby Please Don't Go/No Regrets/Gloria (includes Boogie Woogie)//Bummer In The Summer/Season of the Witch/Trouble in Mind
Good to Very Good audience recording, second half of show not as good as the first as the instruments become more unbalanced.
Plant says tonight will be the story of the song behind the song. Actually most of the story is done with the music tonight as Plant does not do a whole lot of talking throughout the show. This is a good show with some nice highlights. Is it always interesting to here the early versions of Morning Dew and how primitive they sound to what it was developed into just months later.
Darkness, Darkness has a very long jam in the middle of it. During the show there has been very little audience noise, but that changes when you can hear members of the audience spelling and shouting Gloria.
After a nice version of Bummer In The Summer Plant reminisces when he was seventeen and someone asked him to play something by the Kinks. They then go into Season Of The Witch.
Trouble in Mind actually features a surprisingly great guitar solo from Plant himself. This gets a loud applause from the audience. A fun ending to a good show.
